Guided Hikes and Treks in the Pyrenees
The 400km long chain of the Pyrenees contain’s some of Europe’s finest wild landscapes, hikes, treks and climbs. These remain largely undiscovered by UK adventure seekers. We think that’s crazy and once you get out here you’ll think it’s crazy too!
Pic du Midi d’Ossau (2884m)
One of the most recognisable and iconic peaks in the entire Pyrenees lies just half an our from us and on clear days can be seen dominating the horizon on approach to our adventure centre in the Vallee d’Ossau.
This epic, stand-alone mountain rises up from beautiful flower strewn pastures and offers a range of different routes for ascent to suite both the novice and the more experienced thrill seekers.
The Balaitous is the most westerly of the 3000m plus peaks putting it firmly within reach of our adventure centre. The dramatic
granite ridges surround this bulky beast of a mountain creating awesome routes of approach. The Balaitous lies right on the Spanish border and treks to the peak provide excellent views into the Spanish Valleys to the South.
The highest peak in the Pyrenees, The Vignemale is a seriously awesome sight. Draped from the dramatic peaks lies the Ossoue Glacier, the largest in the Pyrenees which also provides the best route to the summit.
Here it is guys, without a doubt the most famous landscape feature in all the Pyrenees. The huge amphitheatre of rock, snow and ice is an awe-inspiring site and provides an array of different routes for all skill levels.
